Correction Policy

The ultimate and comprehensive iteration of an article is the version that is officially published on the internet. Our policy, similar to that of other publishers, restricts the extent to which adjustments can be made to this version, allowing for such modifications only in exceptional cases. Typographical errors in author names, affiliations, paper titles, abstracts, and keywords are the only aspects that can be rectified. In instances of this nature, it becomes essential to provide an erratum or corrigendum to clarify the differences between the web and print iterations. In the event of a significant error that compromises the scientific integrity or the credibility of the author or the journal, it is possible to issue a correction to the published article. However, we do not publish corrections for minor errors that do not materially impact the contribution or significantly impair the reader’s understanding, such as spelling or grammatical mistakes.

Send an email to XXXXXX if you need any changes to be effected.

Errata

If a significant error is introduced during the production of a journal article, such as one that impacts the publication record, scientific integrity, or the reputation of the authors or journal, an erratum will be utilized. This includes errors of omission, such as failing to make factual proof corrections within the provided deadline and journal policy.

We do not publish errata for typing errors, unless the error is seemingly simple but holds significance (e.g., an incorrect unit). In the case of a significant error in a figure or table, a new corrected version will be published as an erratum. Republishing the figure or table will only occur if it considered necessary by the editor.

Corrigenda

A corrigendum functions as a formal communication that alerts readers to a substantial mistake committed by the authors of a scholarly paper. Prior to submission for publication, it is mandatory for all authors to attach their signatures to corrigenda. In such cases where co-authors hold alternative viewpoints, the editors will collect input from impartial peer-reviewers and implement appropriate revisions, while properly recognising the dissenting author(s) in the final published iteration.

Addenda

An addendum refers to a formal announcement of a peer-reviewed inclusion of supplementary information in a scholarly document, usually in response to a reader’s enquiry for further explanation. Addenda do not present any conflicting information with the original publication. However, in the event the author accidentally excluded significant information that was accessible during the time of publication, such material can be included as an addendum subsequent to undergoing peer review. Addenda are published on a limited basis, and their inclusion is dependent upon the editors’ judgement that the addendum is crucial for readers to fully understand a significant component of the published work.
